Dear diary,
Today I have just witnessed the third time Antony has offered Caesar the crown. Being the noble man he is, Caesar denied it once again. Caesar does not wish to rule over us like the tyrant Pompey, he seeks to guide us and make Rome a better place. But even the great Caesar has some nonbelievers. Several "higher-ups" such as Marullus Flavius question Caesar's integrity, still believing that Pompey was their true leader. But Pompey is dead; rightfully killed at the hands of Caesar, and they are foolish to be living in the past. Those few who oppose Caesar are only greedy and hungry for power, and they know that Caesar won't grant it to them. From attending this ceremony and from all the cheers I heard, I know that almost all of Rome support Caesar and trust that he will never deceive us or take advantage of his power. Rome is still a country of the people, and under Caesar's rule it will stay that way.
